Die Noise-Terroristen aus Boston umhüllen sich mit schmelzenden Gitarren, bösem Dröhnen, hypnotischen Basslinien, kranken und zerstörten Beats und Gesang und anderen außerirdischen Soundflächen.
THE DECEMBER SOUND sind dunkel und extrem, beeinflusst von Existenzialismus, zeitgenössischer Avantgarde und radikalen Untergrundbewegungen. Vergleiche mit MY BLOODY VALENTINE und THE JESUS AND MARYCHAIN sind berechtigt - allerdings hat man das Gefühl man würde etwas frisches Neuartiges hören und erleben.
Angeführt von Zack Sarazins gleitender Gitarre und seiner Stimme, die von sanft bis erschreckend und einschüchternd reicht, kreieren THE DECEMBER SOUND ein Gefühl von hohlem Echo, das durch die Luft hallt.
Jimmy Rossi schafft die bösartigen Soundlandschaften mit seinem verträumten Keyboard und seiner melodiösen Rhythmusgitarre, immer in blinder Abstimmung mit Zacks Leadgitarre. Die hypnotische Rhythmsection wird gestellt durch Drew Richards am Schlagzeug und Cat Crowley am Bass.
THE DECEMBER SOUND galt lange als “Best unsigned band on the planet” (THE BIG TAKEOVER). 8MM Musik bringt uns diesen Juwel nach Europe und veröffentlicht THE DECEMBER SOUND “The Silver Album” am 29.10.2008
